I’ve been working really hard on my Etsy shop the last month or so in an effort to increase sales. I’ve had some slow growth the last couple of years, but not as much as I would like! So I’ve been busy creating and adding new types of products to my shop. In the last couple of months, I’ve created several wall hangings, some garden spinners, and now over the weekend I’ve made some sticky note holders.
They are really fun to make and the ideas are endless. I plan to make some for other style notebooks as well.
They are so cute on desks, to carry in a purse or bag, for school, a stocking stuffer, or a gift.
If you would like one for yourself or to give as a gift, click here view them in my Etsy shop. These are available in custom colors and I would be happy to take theme requests. I will be adding more, so keep checking back!
I’ve been hard at work designing and stitching the last couple of weeks. I hadn’t been very inspired for quite awhile, but the warm weather seems to have my ideas flowing and now I have more ideas than time.
One of my most recent works is an adorable dolphin wall hanging in plastic canvas.
The finished product is now available in my Etsy shop here. I am hoping to release the pattern in the near future.
I would love to see your most recent creations today- leave me a comment with what you have made!
I’m so excited to be offering ten of my patterns now! My newest one is perfect for the spring and summer time!
Tulip coasters! They make me happy just looking at them 🙂
This tulip pattern, along with my others are available in my etsy shop. You can also browse them on my website here and click to buy on etsy.
More to come soon- I’ve drawn several up, including a dolphin and a sand castle, but haven’t stitched them yet 🙂
It is finally feeling like it’s almost summer where I live! One of my favorite things about summer is all the cute garden decor. This year I discovered how to make wind spinners. I have it hanging in my front yard and I love sitting by the window and watching it twirl.
Isn’t it adorable?!
They are also popular to hang outside your camper or even inside from a curtain rod or hook.
If you are interested in one of your very own, they are now available in my Etsy Shop. I would be happy to make one for you in the colors of you choice as well- team colors, school colors, and to match decor are popular choices.
I’ve been in a bit of a dry spell lately where I haven’t had many new ideas for plastic canvas design. I can’t just sit down and come up with something- it just hits me out of the blue. So about 3 weeks ago I finally had an idea.
The process really didn’t take long at all- I was able to draw it out and stitched it pretty quickly.
Here it was as I start stitching it. I hadn’t drawn it out stitch for stitch not drawn my picture with the border and lettering.
I finished stitching in just a couple days time. I was thrilled with how it turned out! But my vision all along had been to frame it and make it pop. So yesterday I finally made it to the craft store for a frame. It was hard to find one that was what I had in mind and the right size- it had ended up a bit bigger than I originally planned.
But I found one to do the job and here is the finished product-
This is now one of my favorite designs!
It is now available on Etsy too (Faith, Hope, Love Black and White Framed Wall Hanging) if you are interested in ordering one. It makes a beautiful gift for birthday, wedding, anniversary, and more!
Before Christmas, I received a custom order for a set of monogram coasters (I blogged about the design awhile back). Here is how the custom order turned out:
I love the colors she chose!
Just after the holidays, I was asked to make 2 more sets because they are so well loved! So I am currently working on those. I finished the coasters yesterday and just need to do the boxes now.
What is your current project?
As you may know, almost everything I create involves yarn, except my diaper wreaths. But a few months ago, I began creating some painted rocks- and I love them! Now I am not a talented artist to paint amazing designs, so I had to find a different route. And I’m so excited to have sold my first one on etsy- this cute Boston Terrier rock.
Of course I love dogs, so I’m so excited about this rock finding a home!
I have several others abailable in my Etsy Shop. Here is a sneak peak at a few more of them-
What would you choose to put on a rock ?
Today I was looking for a few quick items to whip up for an upcoming craft show. I came across a pattern for little baby socks that I had never tried. They’re made on the flower loom, can you believe it?! Aren’t they adorable?!
They work up really quickly and the pattern is so well written and easy. The free pattern can be found at http://guppylovesshark.wordpress.com/2011/03/02/flower-loom-footsies/ if you would like to try them.
What is your favorite, quick item to loom knit?
The other weekend I went to a flea market near where I grew up. I love flea markets, but rarely go and that’s probably a good thing for my wallet. This one was in conjunction with a festival and the festival was the reason I was there. But of course I checked out the market. I was glad I did! I found 3 cute crochet books at a bargain price! There were several others, but I didn’t allow myself too many. Two were only $1 and the other was $0.50!
I tried out one of the patterns from the doily book and I think it turned out well! I’m not super experienced working with thread and I always feel clumsy working with it. This also had a new stitch to me in it.
Have you ever found any great bargain craft books at a flea market?
